I will be travelling to Jamaica later today to attend Caribbean Fashion Week which is a fantastic fashion event showcasing the best in fashion. So, I may be off-line for a while. Looking forward to some great fic on my return.

Was out of the island over the period October 23 to November 2, so I was offline. Getting into my LJ was problematic so I could not inform you guys before.
I took a Trade Mission of exporters to Guyana for a Trade Mission and to participate in GuyExpo. It was great.
Now, I am back. So, hear you.

How are you all? I hope that you are all in fine creative form!!!
Life was a bit hectic and I was unable to advise you that I was going overseas before I went.
I was away and off-line over the period August 24 - 30 participating in a Craft and Gift Show in South Beach, Miami. It was good but then 'Ernesto' showed up and place a damper on things. Glad that there was no real damage.
Miss you and your fics....:) Am now trying to catch up on reading them.

09:44 am - I Have my CD and books on Alexander
Well friends,
Greetings.
Just a short note to let you know that I have finally received my copy of the CD "A Beautiful Lie", as well as two books on Alexander - "Fire from Heaven" by Renault and "Alexander The Great" by Robin Lane Fox. My girl friend from our New York office brought them in for me today and I am so happy.
So, I am off to play my CD and I shall start to read my books over the weekend.

01:10 pm - Just breezing
It is a bright, sunny day and all the fans are on, yet it is still so hot and to boot, I seem to be going through fic withdrawals.....I really need some new fics to read.....and not only from the "Alexander" fandom but from "Smallville" as well. And for the last few days I have been reading over some of the most wonderful fics written by some really talented and creative writers...you know who you are *smile*
I have even been to the Library and started to actually read historical books about Alexander by Mary Renault and Hammond and other such information from credible sources off the net.
I have also just watch "Alexander" again......all the scenes with Alexander and Heph were so much more wonderful. In slow motion, I watch the ring scene looking at the subtle kiss. Alexander told Heph that "he was a great man". I think I pass over those words before, then I rewinded to the balcony scene and then fastforwarded to Heph death which was painful, yet showed the strength of their love and friendship.
After Alexander's injury in India, when he told the Macedonians that there were going home, there was such a look of deep disappointment and sadness on his face that you felt his despair at achieving so much yet, not realizing his full dream....and Heph lying in the background seem surprised yet understanding of his decision.
Well, until next entry.....I do hope I get some fics to read soon!!!
